Information We Collect

We collect only what you give us and what the site needs to function:

• Waitlist sign-ups. When you join the waitlist we collect your name, email address, and any optional details you provide (restaurant name, role, message). This is submitted through Netlify Forms.
• Contact form submissions. If you use our contact form, we collect your name, email, and the content of your message.
• Basic analytics. We may collect anonymised page-view data (pages visited, referrer, rough geographic region) to understand how the site is used. We do not track individuals across sites.
• Cookies. This site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. If a session cookie is set it is purely functional and not shared with third parties.

We do not collect payment information, health data, or any sensitive personal data on this site.

How We Use It

The information you submit is used for the purposes you'd expect:

• To contact you about ChefLife's development, launch, and early access — only because you asked us to.
• To respond to questions or messages you send us.
• To understand which features resonate most with people who work in kitchens, so we build the right things.

We will never sell your data. We will never use your email to send unrelated promotional material from third parties. If you joined the waitlist, you signed up for ChefLife updates — full stop.

Data Storage and Security

Form submissions are stored by Netlify (see below). We take reasonable steps to ensure that data is handled securely, but no internet transmission is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain waitlist data until ChefLife launches or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. Contact form messages are retained only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry.

Third-Party Services

This site is hosted on Netlify. Form submissions (waitlist and contact) are processed and stored by Netlify Forms. Netlify may process data on servers located in the United States. You can review Netlify's privacy practices at netlify.com/privacy.

We do not embed third-party advertising, tracking pixels, or social media widgets that collect data about you without your knowledge.

Google Fonts are loaded from Google's CDN. This results in a request to Google's servers, which may log your IP address as part of standard server logging. We are evaluating self-hosting fonts to eliminate this entirely.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Know what personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data at any time — just email us and we will remove you from the waitlist and delete any stored information.
• Withdraw consent to future communications by replying to any email with "unsubscribe" or by contacting us directly.

If you are located in the EU or UK, you may also have rights under GDPR or UK GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. We are a small operation — if something is wrong, please reach out directly first and we will sort it out.
